What the result means
Volume is simply area multiplied by depth, converted into cubic metres and litres.
A common mulch depth is 5–7 cm (2–3 in) for beds; more is not always better.
Bag count is rounded up, so you buy enough to cover the whole area.
Bags are sold in different sizes — change the bag size if yours differs.
